Black September: Listen and understand how they wanted to steal your Republic
Black September 22, 2020 the day of infamy on which the entire UDP parliamentarians almost became complicit in a coup d’état by constitutional design. There is absolutely no provision in the 1997 Constitution that authorizes the National Assembly to either repeal (meaning invalidate) or abrogate (meaning annul) the entire Gambian constitution. All those who voted yes to the so-called “Amendment Bill” have effectively committed treason. And yet it was amusing to watch the “Donor Community” Ambassadors meddling into the Gambia’s internal affairs aiding and abetting the reactionary UDP party leader, Ousainou Darboe. We shall analyze and you decide this weekend.

Ebou Jallo:
Just finished watching Mai Fatty’s entertaining performance. Somehow what he claims is very true: There is absolutely NO provision in the current Gambian constitution authorizing it’s repeal or abrogation. All those who voted YES on 22 September 2020 to “repeal” the 1997 Constitution have all committed treason. This is a fact. Unfortunately, Mai Ahmad Fatty is damn right; and I have been warning Gambians for months before that this so-called ‘new constitution” was nothing but a coup d’etat by constitutional design.
